Test 2 · Part 2: First Day at Summer Camp

Hi everyone, and welcome to your first day as staff here at summer camp. I'm going to explain how the camp is organized and what your duties are. The camp is divided into four areas, and each one has its own team leader. The sports field is behind the main hall, next to the parking lot. The lake is about ten minutes' walk from here, along the forest path. Nobody is allowed to swim unless a member of staff is watching. The dining hall serves breakfast at 7:30 and dinner at 6. Staff eat after the children, so please be patient at mealtimes. Your cabins are up on the hill, and each one sleeps six people. Please keep them tidy, because we check them every Friday morning. Now, a few words about safety, which is our top priority. Every member of staff must carry a radio while they are with the children. If a child is hurt, call the nurse first and then tell your team leader. The nurse's office is open all day and is right next to the main gate. Children are not allowed to use their phones except on Sunday afternoons. Please collect any phones you find and hand them in at the office. On your days off, you're welcome to use the boats and the climbing wall. However, you must sign out at the office before you leave the camp. There will be a staff meeting every Monday evening in the main hall. OK, that's everything for now, so let's go and look around.
