The Little Squirrel Who Hid Too Many Nuts

Once upon a time, a little squirrel lived in a big oak tree. It was autumn, and the leaves were red and gold. The squirrel loved nuts. He loved them so much! Every day, he found nuts and hid them in the ground. One here, one there. Dig, dig, dig! Ten nuts, twenty nuts, a hundred nuts! Then winter came. Everything was white with snow. The squirrel was hungry. Where were his nuts? Oh no! He couldn't remember! He looked here. He looked there. Nothing! Hmm... the squirrel sat down and thought hard. Then he found one nut. Then another! Yum! He ate and ate until his tummy was full. In spring, something surprising happened. Little green trees grew everywhere! Wow! They grew from the nuts he forgot!
