News reports, long conversations and passages in the format of the CET-4 Listening test.
CET-4 (College English Test Band 4) is taken by millions of university students in China every year. Its listening section has three parts: news reports, long conversations and passages. These exercises follow the same format — a recording, then the questions read aloud, just like the test — and you type every sentence you hear.
Each recording is played only once in the test. Many students understand the general idea but miss the detail a question asks about: a number, a reason, or the point that comes after "but" or "however". Dictation trains you to hear every word, including weak forms and word endings, and builds the vocabulary that appears again and again in news and campus topics.
Play the whole recording once without pausing and try to answer the questions in your head. Then go sentence by sentence, check every mistake and note the words you missed. Finish by playing it straight through again — you will be surprised how much more you hear.
Try TOEIC Listening for workplace English, IELTS Listening for academic talks, or the Intermediate level to strengthen your basics.

Most exercises are B1–B2, about the level of the CET-4 itself. If they feel too hard, start with the Beginner level.
